Day 4 - Bryce Canyon
NOTE: We're struggling a bit with a viable internet connection. Hopefully we'll get the words and a couple pictures. Check back for new pictures each day, we've got lots we'll try to post when we can.
Today we took a day trip ride to Bryce Canyon. We started by riding through part of Zion Park. There is quite a difference between these two parks. Zion is a park where you are up close and personal with the canyon walls. It is also a high desert climate. In contrast Bryce is more mountain canyonish. It is high (8000-9000 feet) and in dense pine forest.
The weather today was a very welcome change from yesterday. Today was in the 60's and 70's with some overcast and sprinkles. The ride from Zion to Bryce reminds me a lot of riding in the Sierra Nevada. There were pine trees, mountain meadows, grassy fields, and buffalo. (ooops. I haven't seen buffalo in the Sierras!)
